Penggunaan kondisional kedua/tidak nyata

If I did not have so much work now, I would go out tonight. = Kalau saya tidak punya banyak sekali pekerjaan, saya pergi berjalan-jalan malam ini.
Unreal Conditional (syarat yang tidak nyata) dapat berada pada masa depan (future) atau masa kini (present).

Strukturnya tetap sama dengan Present Conditional (lihat Lesson 179)
If + Simple Past Tense (I knew her address) + Past Future Tense (I would visit her)
If I knew her address, I would visit her tomorrow. = Kalau saya tahu alamat dia, saya akan mengunjungi dia.
Pembicara tahu bahwa syarat yang dia sebutkan ('If I did not have so much work' dan 'If I knew her address') tidak bisa terpenuhi sekarang (sudah jelas dia punya banyak pekerjaan) atau sulit terpenuhi nanti (dia tidak tahu cara mendapatkan alamatnya).

(1) If he wasn't so angry, I would talk to him. = Jika dia tidak begitu marah, saya akan berbicara dengan dia.
If he wasn't so angry = conditional clause (Simple Past Tense)
I would talk to him = Main clause (Past Future Tense

Pembicara pada contoh (1) Tahu bahwa orang yang dibicarakannya sedang marah, jadi dia hanya mengatakan perumpamaan.
Gunakan Unreal Conditional untuk membicarakan syarat hal yang kita sudah tahu sulit terpenuhi.
Strukturnya sama dengan Present Conditional (lihat Lesson 179).
If he wasn't so angry tomorrow tomorrow, I would talk to him. = Jika dia tidak begitu marah besok, saya akan berbicara dengan dia.
Pembicara pada contoh (2) berpikir bahwa orang yang dibicarakannya masih sedang marah besok, jadi dia hanya berandai perkiraannya tidak terpenuhi.
Ini adalah Future Unreal Conditional. Strukturnya sama dengan Present Conditional.
'Jika cuaca tidak terlalu dingin, saya akan berjalan-jalan di hutan.' Pilih terjemahan bahasa Inggris yang tepat.;
