جب میں پارک گیا تو مجھ پتہ چلا کہ میری کار چوری ہو چکی تھی
اگر کوئی واقعہ زمانۂ ماضی میں گزرے ہوئے ایک متعین وقت سے پہلے ہو تو past perfect tense کا استعمال ہوتا ہے۔ ایسے جملوں میں دو واقعات کو ظاہر کیا جاتا ہے۔ پہلے واقعہ کو past perfect میں اور بعد کے واقعہ کو ہمیشہ past tense سے ظاہر کیا جاتا ہے۔
