Smart -> Smartest. ज़्यादातर छोटे शब्दों का Superlative फॉर्म 'the + adjective + est' लगाकर बनाया जाता है.
She is the most intelligent girl of our class.
=
वह हमारी कक्षा की सबसे बुद्धिमान लड़की है.
Intelligent -> Most intelligent. ज़्यादातर लम्बे शब्दों का Superlative फॉर्म 'the most' + adjective लगाकर बनाया जाता है.

आज साल का सबसे गर्म दिन है.
Hot -> Hottest.

जिन शब्दों में आखिरी दो अक्षर एक स्वर (o) और उसके बाद एक व्यंजन हो (t), तो Superlative फॉर्म में आखिरी व्यंजन दो बार आएगा hottest. यदि आखिरी व्यंजन के पहले दो स्वर हों (steep) तो व्यंजन दो बार नहीं आता (steepest).
