ସାଧାରଣ ଅତୀତ କାଳ ରେ ନକାରାତ୍ମକ ବାକ୍ୟ ରେ 'was/were' ପରେ 'not' ର ପ୍ରୟୋଗ ହୁଏ.
Eg: The weather was not nice yesterday - ଗତ କାଲି ପାଗ ଭଲ ନ ଥିଲା.
